David "Wookie"
Myslek has been interested in audio as far back as age 6. When he was
12 years old he took lessons in keyboards, drums, trombone and guitar.
After playing in a band for 5 years and not really sure of what aspect
of audio he wanted to pursue as a profession, he decided to enroll in
the Audio Recording Technology Institute in 1990. He was then certified
in the theory and practice of audio recording and MIDI technology. He
then began working in a small audio post production facility as an apprentice
and was soon hired full time. During the next 7 years the facility expanded
4 times. This experience landed him a place as the first engineer to work
for Bob Stewart at Stewart Sound. This is where he has called home for
the last 8 years.
Stewart Sound has become the premier audio facility in Orange County during
his employment. They have recently completed sound work for an Academy
Award nominated film.
"Wookie" really
loves what he does and it shows. His experience working on thousands of
television and radio spots will make him a valuable asset for your project.
Having worked with some of the biggest names and agencies in the business
"Wookie" has the experience and knowledge to make your audio
production the best it can be.
